Abstract & Surreal DDs for NovemberI think we're much smarter than we were.Everybody knows that abstract art can be art, and most people know that they may not like it, even if they understand there's another purpose to it.(Roy Lichtenstein)Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision.(Salvador Dalí)Enjoy this summary of last month's DDs for Abstract & Surreal Photography: Thank you to the featured artists for your wonderful artworkand thank you

Photography Weekly: Edition ThirteenPhotography Weekly Header created by ~TouchedD"The quickest way to make money from Photography is to sell your camera" Noticeably in the past few weeks, more and more people seem to be speaking up and making noise at the fact that aren't making money from their photography. There's no doubt about it - Photography starts out as a hobby. You don't one day pick up a camera and decide that you are going to be a pro and get given your first paycheck. It's one of those unique hobbies where you get a gentle introduction around age 10 with your first proper camera (haha) and the rest is History. Whatever you make it really. You can't say that about most professions.Putting yourself out there is something I've been trying to hammer home the past week, you'll have noticed my ramble if you read last weeks edition of Photography weekly. Getting paid for it is another matter. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Sometimes, you might not get paid for what you do.

Life of a Bart Skip all that babbling and go right to the featuresIt is September! What does that mean for me this year?End of holidaysStarting universitydA birthdayOne year since I joined Community RelationsAnd that's what this journal will be about. End of HolidaysSo I just mentioned starting university. It's not simply 'going back after summer holidays'... It's been almost a year and a half since I quit university and soon after, started working more. I was studying musicology, but realised I didn't want to work in that field, or do research. I took a year away from uni to work full time and decide where to go next. Little did I know then that I would be working much more than full time I had already been working part time for about 4 years, most recently in a supermarket, and it wasn't too hard to turn this job to full time. I also got an extra job that I'd keep for the rest of the school year, of tutoring
